Our Story

The inspiration for Four Little Birds comes from Bob Marley's song Three Little Birds.
Long before we became parents, during the first year of our relationship, we went through one of the most difficult periods of our lives. My husband was working to leave substance use behind. We were learning how to build a future together while navigating uncertainty, fear, setbacks, and hope.
During that time, one song kept appearing unexpectedly. Sometimes on the radio. Sometimes in a café. Sometimes through another person. Always when we seemed to need it most.
The message was simple: Every little thing is gonna be alright. Not that everything would be easy. Not that recovery would happen overnight. But that healing was possible if we kept moving forward.
The song became our anthem. Years later, after recovery, after rebuilding our lives, and after becoming parents to our twin daughters, that message still remains at the heart of our family.
Four Little Birds was born from that experience. From the belief that recovery is not about perfection. It is about hope. It is about connection. It is about taking one small step after another until a new life begins to emerge.
Today, my husband is more than 10 years sober and the healthiest he has ever been, working as a personal trainer and helping other people improve their own lives.
Today, the four birds represent our family. But the song represents where it all started.
Every little thing is gonna be alright.
